The Library of the Future Framework was born from decades of academic library leadership experience and a simple conviction: libraries are not repositories of the past — they are catalysts for the future. This is the story of the Framework and the team behind it.

Why the Framework Exists

Academic libraries stand at a historic crossroads. For centuries, the library's mission was defined by physical collection custody and quiet study spaces. Today, the rise of artificial intelligence, digital-first learning expectations, and mounting financial pressures demand a fundamental reinvention.
